Fourth Grade Recorder Unit - Music and Technology in Harmony


Music teacher Backy Knox has used the 4th Grade recorder unit to combine her love of music with her love of technology.  She has created a Wiki here, and has lined her hallway with interactive pictures called Auras using the Aurasma app.  Come in and try it out, and follow her through the Aurasma app

Math, Science and Technology Night at Live Oak Elementary



Live Oak families came out on January 30th to enjoy Math, Science and Technology Night at the School.  Students learned how to program using Lightbot, graphed changes in temperature using digital thermometers, played science games on the Smart Board, and more exciting activities!

Live Oak Students Are Going Google in the Library!

Live Oak students in grades 2-5 are using their RRISD Google accounts when they come to the library.  Using Google Apps for Education, students are able to collaboratively create products.
